Why choose halls of residence?

Halls of residence are accommodation blocks which are used during the university year for student accommodation.You will have your own room with a private bathroom and shared cooking facilities. Rooms are usually organised together into flats. Our halls of residence are near shops and restaurants and are located close to the city centre. Our halls of residence are within a short walking distance from Express English College.

Facilities

  • Each bedroom comes with its own en-suite shower and bathroom facility and small kitchen facility.
  • Each apartment is fully furnished and boasts beautiful decor.
  • The kitchens are fully integrated with appliances and a breakfast bar and stools.
  • The shared areas have contemporary sofas and a TV where students can relax and socialise with their flatmates and friends.
  • Car parking is available and up to 100Mbps WIFI is provided throughout the property for the student’s convenience.
  • A common room offers TV and Skybox. Laundry facilities are also available.
  • 24-hour security is in place to ensure safety at all times, including on-site night wardens.

Student Residence Guidelines

To ensure a pleasant and orderly living environment in the student residence, we kindly ask all residents to follow these rules:

  • Cleaning: Your private bedroom and bathroom are your responsibility to keep clean. The residence cleaner does not clean these areas.
  • Kitchen Use: After using the kitchen, please clean up. This includes washing your dishes and cleaning any surfaces you’ve used. Keep the fridge and cupboards tidy.
  • Guests: Overnight guests are not permitted in your room.
  • Noise: Please be considerate of other students by keeping noise levels down between 22:00 at night and 07:00 in the morning.
  • Damage: If you cause any damage to your room, bathroom, kitchen, or any residence property, you will be responsible for the costs of repair or replacement.
  • Lost Keys: Should you lose your key or key card, you will need to cover the cost of a replacement.
  • Security: Keep your bedroom door locked when you’re not in to secure your belongings. You are responsible for your room and possessions.
  • Cancellation: No refunds can be given for residence accommodation cancellations or changes after your check-in date. Please refer to our terms and conditions for further information regarding the cancellation
  • Safety: Endangering the safety of fellow students or staff will result in being asked to leave the residence without a refund.
  • Residence Rules: Failure to adhere to these guidelines may lead to being asked to leave the residence, and no refund will be provided for the remaining period of your stay.

These rules are in place to ensure everyone enjoys their time in the residence safely and comfortably.
